Hari Bhakta Parayana Shri.Madhavrao Tukarampant Ajegaonkar is a multi faceted Sai Personality. He is a veteran “Kirtanakar”, Spiritual Pravachanakar, Singer, Writer and Orator.

He was born on 17th March 1946 (as per School records it is 1st May 1946) to a Rigvedi Brahmin family at Ajegaon, Sengaon Taluk, Hingoli District, Marathwada region of Maharashtra to Smt.Ramabai Ajegonkar (now 95 year old) and Late Shri.Tukaram Buva (born in the year 1910) who was a renowned Kirtankar in Maharashtra and a staunch disciple of Das Ganu Maharaj who gave thousands of Kirtan programmes in Marathi and Hindi all over India for more than 65 years and pased away in the year 1991. His mother Smt.Ramabai Ajegaonkar was born around 1920-21 travelled all around the country along with her husband Shri.Tukaram Buva Ajegaonkar. Both Shri.Tukaram Buva Ajegaonkar and Smt.Ramabai Ajegaonkar lived for several years in the company of Das Ganu Maharaj and attended Rama Navami Utsav regularly at Shirdi.

Shri.Madhavarao's Grand father Late Shri.Keshavguru Ajegaonkar was a renowned "Vedic Scholar" and disciple of Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati who belonged to Datta Sampradaya (also known as Tembe Swami, a contemporary Saint who belonged Sai Baba's period and believed to be Guru Bandhu of Shri.Sai Baba)

His fore fathers were "Kulaguru" i.e, Guide Priests for all religious rituals performed by Namdev Maharaj family. It is believed that the horoscope of Namdev Maharaj was prepared by Babaji Brahmin who is said to be the fore father of Shri.Madhavrao Ajegaonkar.

Shri.Madhavrao Ajegaonkarji has completed B.Sc (Agriculture). He also had a long stint for about 10 years with Marathi Theatre during his school and college days. He persued it during his Graduate and Post Graduate Collge days.

Shri.Madhavrao Ajegaonkar got spiritual guidance from eminent personalities like Pandit Ganesh Shastry Dravid, Chintamani Maharaj Gunja, P.A.D.Atavale (Swami Varadanand Bharti), Parama Poojya Shri.Ramachandra Maharaj Dongre and his father Late Shri.Tukarambuva Ajegaonkar.

Shri.Madhavrao Ajegaonkarji has given over 3500 programmes of Kirtan and Pravachan all over India (Including Shri Sai Baba Sansthan, Shirdi) and abroad in the last 40 years (more than 2500 Kirtan programmes, more than 1000 Lecutres & Discourses on Sant Gnaneshwari & other Saint Literature including Bhagavadgita & Adi Shankaracharya Literature). His Spiritual Articles (thoughtful concise writings) have been published in leading Marathi & Hindi Periodicals and monthly magazines. He has given talks on spiritual subjects in All India Radio. He has also participated in many spiritual conferences. In the year 1989, he has given 19 lectures in 3 different languages (Marathi - 9, Hindi - 7 and English - 6) in 12 different States of United States of America.

He is holding special programmes on Saint's Literature every year during Sai Baba's Maha Samadhi Celebration and Anniversary.

He is Chairman at Late H.B.P Tukaram buva Ajegaonkar Atmonnati pratishan, pratishtana, parbhani and President of Dr.Radhakrishna Shikshan Prasarak Mandal , operated by Gitanjali Vidyalaya, Parbhani. 

He has received many awards and accolades from many Saibaba Temples, religious organizations including Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi). Some of the are as follows:

6. “Dharma Kirtan award” by Shri.Harihar Maharaj Dikshit in the year 2010 at Mukhed, Nanded District.
7. "Sangaved School University", Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh honoured him "Girvan Vagvardhini Sadasyah" and conferred him with the "Hari Kirtan Bhushan" award in the year 2013.
8. “Kirtan Bhushan” award by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shringeri Peeta at Birth place of His Holiness Vasudevanand Sarasawati, Managao (Konkan) in the year 2014.
9. “Sant Shri Dasganu Maharaj Award” conferred by Sai Chaitanya pariwar , Vishranti Wada, Pune on 31st March 2014 during Gudipadwa celebration.
10. “Kirtan Kesari award” by Shrimad Jadadguru Swami Shankracharya Peeta , Karwir, Shukrawar pet , Kolhapur on 13th May 2014.

He humbly admits that he is fond of doing more Prasar and Prachar in ancient Indian Philosophy, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Sai Philosophy in Marathi & Hindi languages in the years to come. 

His Wife Smt.Malati Ajegaonkar was born on 27th July 1952 has done B.A. Honours in both Marathi & Sanskirt Literature. His son Shri.Shankar Madhavarao Ajegaonkar was born on 27th September 1980 has completed his Master of Engineering in Civil & Material Management) and working as a Consulting Engineer. He is a scholar in Shri Das Ganu Kirtan Parampara and also an excellent Tabla Player. His wife Smt.Girija Shankar Ajegaonkar has completed B.Sc, B.Ed. and is a housewife. Shri.Madhavrao Ajegaonkar's daughter Smt.Savita has completed B.Sc and married to Shri.Vikas and presently residing at Nizamabad District of Telangala State.

Shri.Madhavrao Tukarampant Ajegaonkar is living with his wife Smt.Malati Ajegaonkar, Son and daughter-in-law at Parbhani, Maharashtra and is leading a peaceful life.
